KYEM Presents for Ecuadorian Military
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Senior leaders from the Kentucky National Guard welcomed a group of military personnel from the Armed Forces of Ecuador for a Leader Engagement as part of Kentucky’s State Partnership Program from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1. During the visit, Kentucky Emergency Management’s assistant Director of Operations, Dustin Heiser, shared how the division has worked hand in hand with National Guard resources over the last several years, facing and overcoming challenges, from civil unrest to flooding, just as the Ecuadorian military has done. During the visit, Ecuadorian leaders were also able to view static displays of rescue equipment at the Lexington Fire Training Center and meet members from its search and rescue teams.
